Third party brands are really exploding and there's just too many to list on the store which is good and bad. Bad, we just need a little time to update the store and it's nearly impossible to keep track of all the sets. The good news is you can always request via email or social media and if we can we'll put it up.
The other challenge with the store is having our one and only Ida, who does all the backend of the store, accounts, emails with you and discussions with suppliers and brands, has to always keep up and see if we can even get products on the store.
A lot of new brands are getting popular quite quick and some will are very specific how we sell or have some type of demands. Some even aren't allowed to sell sets overseas (due to licensing issues), but lucky for us, we always try to find a way to get them.
With all that's going on the store is still going pretty good. Some months better than others and I always see old customers leave and new ones come. The same applies to my youtube channel too. People come and go which is bittersweet but I'm glad at the moment right now in 2023 I'm still here and still going strong.
For those that don't know, the store is made purely for the fans of all brick lovers and yes even Lego lovers (many of you don't see or know). Maintaining and running the store is a whole 'nother level.
So now for some updates on the store. If you haven't please do check out my other store dedicated to toys...I'm sure you know it but if you don't here is the store:
www.toymeupscottie.com
Right now we're beginning to migrate and shift the product pages over to BMUS. Why? It's just much easier to manage, but I have to be clear and not merge bricks with toys, so I will be making different categories and try to be clear about it all.
The Re-ment miniature toys sell quite well but mostly on our bmus page lol. Here's some pic of our current toy line up.
For the next update I have been working more on the second hand sets. Check out these piles!!
There are maybe 20-30 more that will go up soon. It's quite a bit of work to organize that section and physically as well as all the sets I have to dismantle and find the manuals. It doesn't help that some may have minor missing pieces...which are floating somewhere in the office. Most sets I have reviewed are the ones I will put up so if you do want any just check with us immediately. Unfortunately, you'll still have to pay for shipping but the sets will be cheap (I highly suggest adding to current new orders to save even more).
Second hand sets currently on the store:
https://www.brickmeupscottie.com/collections/second-hand-sets
I will add a new section very soon called NOS (New Old Sets). Our office does have lots of physical stock and over the years we have gotten sets that haven't been put up on the store or listed. Some questionable ones as well (we were quite new when we first started so either one of us had any idea at the time). So now it's time to unload them on the store for a discounted price *remember these are brand new still in their bags. I'll explain more later but we will try to sell off the remaining sets so we can operate and add more into the office. Some sets we still have multiples of, so get them while you can!
Now for the youtube update channel.
I'm back and trying to stay up to date constantly bringing out reviews when I can. There are so many other good channels which I'm sure you have seen that do excellent reviews. It's really great to see them and now you'll have more opinions and feedback on sets I don't have time to do. I will continue to bring as much as I can and yes I will def start the live stream very soon. I know I keep saying that, trust me it's coming.
That's it for now. A big thank you to all the customers and supporters. If you're still not sure about our site and how we work just get in touch. We always help those that are in need (just don't ask for manuals and instructions please) lol.
For fun the most popular selling sets right now on our store are:
Loz Dim Sum:
Oxford Block the Last Supper:
Loz Hong Kong Street Houses:
Area - X Dragon:
Lots and lots of snoopys! Seriously, who's posting them on social?:
Finally the Wangao Bears are picking up, more are coming out soon!:

Alright! There you have it. Have a great week and I'll be posting more blogs often. Do comment and let me know what you would like to know and let's discuss!

I see a lot of sets that come and go but there are a few that catch my attention. I saw this pre-released a while ago and went I gotta have it. I have a bulldog, but always wanted a Frenchie. The first thing I thought of was wow, they made this look like a Ferrari haha. Here's some snaps of it:
So Cute yet mech like.
Nice profile jump lol.
Looks like it has some posable features.
What a nice ass.
Might as well show you the box render cause it's probably the best without getting destroyed lol.
What do I think? I'm not sure yet, but I have the physical one at home still bagged up.
So why isn't this on the store yet? We were told by DK (same brand doing all the brick swords) that this specific model is not allowed to be sold online, anywhere. I'm sure many sellers probably don't care and I don't see what the issue is. Maybe it's copyright? Maybe it's exclusiveness.
However, they never said privately lol. So if you want one just email ida on the store and ask away. I'll be back with a review on this one!

Just fyi it takes ages to update the store especially when it's just run by the two of us (Ida and I), but if you ever see a set not listed you're always welcome to inform us and if you do order we'll almost immediately add them to the new arrivals.
Some of these may not even be out yet, but who cares let's have some fun.
Ahhh finally something new from Sembo, the halloween sets. I personally prefer big nice sets, but lots of you like these smaller ones. It seems they're changing up the figs to look quite different, maybe the copyright stuff has finally caught up with them. I'm curious more about the figs than the sets themselves. I do like how some have glow in the dark bricks and for me I'd def go for the coaster and the latern...but no worries I'll review them all at once for the video...when they do arrive.
Next up is the Decool Nissan, wow very cool. I'm not even a car guy, but I love the details on this one. I think I'm gonna have to review it.
These are from a brand called Jaki. I've only done a few of their sets but these jets look really good. After building the Moscow defense set (check out the pic below the jets) I quite enjoyed the jet build from that set, so yes I'll def look into the Jaki ones.
These Sembo street city builds look cute, but I probably won't get into them. I have some older model ones in the office. They are perfectly fine, but there's really so much more to build...unless you think I should look into a few of them for a review? They should be fast to review since they are small. Lol.
Cada has released this Trex ride, which is perfect for my son lol. I have a smile on my face while putting these pics up.
Wange is about to release a few more architecture sets and some upcoming ones that look really good. They aren't the best but I still enjoy their builds.
This one below looks incredible but no word on release date yet. Wange 7213
I just put up the new Royal Toys train. Looks fun. I shall try to review it soon with their other smaller sets.
Ok here's a couple more for today. I'll post more soon.
Looks like Funwhole is back with more sets. This is an upcoming seaside lodge that looks great..but I doubt it has a backside.
OMG I saw this announced Dior modular and almost lost it. However, it's an unknown brand and not sure if it will ever release. If it does, you can bet day 1. Does anybody know if it's a stolen moc? Lol
Have you guys watched my TOP TOY review, here's another cute little set coming soon. Looks adorable.
Ummm, while I am just finished with the last set from Pangu, this is from another brand, but Sean has told me this one is a no no for now. Even though it's just a station I personally think it looks really good, but this could just very well be vaporware.
Looks like Letz Play has loads more collaboration sets coming out with Mork. Interesting, they brought back the blue shingles heh.
Alright, that's enough teasing for now. I'm getting bombarded daily with new sets and announcements. I'll start using this space to share my excitement with you guys.
Thanks for all the comments and emails too. See you next blog!
Nathan - Totally agree on the Datsun even though I'm not a car guy lol.
Ben - My kid will love the trex one hahah
]]>For some reason I can't reply each one of you, that's a shopfiy technical thing. So I think the best thing to do is to go back to my post and I'll start adding on to the end of these do the replies right here in red, so make sure if you have commented to check back every so often.
So what's a day like for me in the office? Some of you might be interested to know. I've done a couple of tours of my place before on video but it's constantly changing. The most fun part is always shooting a video for you guys and I'll do another blog another day on details of the process and why it takes longer than usual to get videos out.
First thing I do is come to the office a couple of times a week. I am my own boss and I've chosen family over work, so for me it's quite flexible, but I'm always around the weekends and a couple of times during the week. These days the store has become a full fledge business because of all you who order from us, I have to make sure I get all the packages out.
Here's a couple of shots of my office without my sets in the way lol. Lot's of organization and inventory to take care of:
These are mostly Sembo,Keeppley and Xingbao sets lined up against the wall. Sets are always coming in and out really fast.
It's never usually this tidy, but this side of the office is mostly Mould King, Cada, DK, Royal Toys, Happy Build, Panlos and military sets. You'll find some of my sets along the top lol.
Before I get to the office I gotta eat! Sometimes with the fam, sometimes I come even earlier and grab my Mcd or KFC lol. Ok, there are plenty of local Hong Kong eateries here too, but with the virus still in motion, I'm usually doing take away and enjoying my peaceful quiet time in the office. My good friend Chris if he's around will join me and we'll prep each other with daily news and upcoming sets then its either shooting time or.... Packing time!
First things first, dealing with new arrivals. Loads of boxes weekly arrive at the door. I have to double check all the sets and make sure they are all here. Unfortunately, there are mistakes made all the time, but that's what I'm here for...but still even I make mistakes lol.
Then it's organizing and sorting out the correct packages and re-packing to ensure everything is in order.
The postal rules can get real strict, so we're always dealing with how much we can squeeze into a box...Chris thinks he can close this one lol.
Then it's all out the door and ready to ship out.
What you don't see is the warehouse that we have in China. Some orders get shipped directly from there, which saves a bit on shipping cost for other countries.
After almost a day of packing and sending orders, we have to tidy up. There's Chris doing his part.
That leaves me with a few hours to either to film or edit. If my energy is high I'll shoot as much as I can. If I'm feeling down I might just edit or build or continue to clean up.
My babies I use to shoot my vids.
I'm either being shot or the product is being shot.
Last but not least before I close up the office, we browse or I get updates from Ida about new sets coming out...which we'll look at in the next blog :)
Sherri - Yes, we use excel to track everything, but things go in and out so fast. I have a bad habit of forgetting to mark it down hahah. Ida is the pro at all that. She is a full time accountant so taking numbers and doing charts is her thing. I just like to build lol.
Anthony - Thanks so much for the kind words. It isn't easy all the time, but it is fun. I think the harder part is maintaining the online store and for Ida it would be the communication between the suppliers and companies that I would never be able to handle hahah.
Gary - Let me see if i can show you where your bricks really come from hahah you'll be surprised? They still have to come through me ultimately though. Thank you for trusting in us!!
Jona - Thank you! I'll try to do more of these often. Most of the time it's pretty uneventful or I feel like I'll bore others lol.

Doing a blog maybe every few days or weekly means I can update my thoughts on what's happening in the alternative brick world (locally) and discuss sets I may not normally talk about. I'll share my feelings on pre-sale or upcoming sets and maybe if you have more questions I can dive into more details with pics, whether that's doing comparisons for bricks or figures.
Anyway, this just a start. Hello to all of you and please leave a comment and let me know if this is what you'd like to see added on my store page. I look forward to some fun times!
Brick Me Out...errr Up? Lol
Replies to your comments:
Chris - Let me work on a list for you, tbh there hasn't been many new releases but most that have come out are not approved designs. Still more than happy to let you know what's avail.
Sherri - Yes please. I need help. Too many loose pieces all over my office too!!
Trent - I shall work on more blogs soon!
Nathan - A lot are boxed up. I'm thinking just keeping the OG Lego ones in one corner and the current sets in another, but every year I'll replace those current ones with even more current ones lol. Then I have to get rid of most so that I can make room.
Pat - hahaha I am my own sales man. I have so much fun just reviewing sets I never thought about being a sales man, but I have hurt many wallets over the past few years including my own.
